A thrilling 101-96 double overtime victory by Kansas State over Xavier took its toll on the Wildcat players. Head coach Frank Martin says his team is much too worn out to continue any further, and has withdrawn from the NCAA Tournament.

The NFL announced some new rule changes this week, including a few adjustments to the rules in overtime. The league proposed these changes to the overtime rules in order to produce the fairest result possible, and is rather confident that the team with the highest score at the end of overtime will most likely be declared the winner.

 
Yankees Fear Mauer Extension Could Prevent Him From Playing For Yankees

Yankee front office personnel are concerned that by signing an 8-year contract extension with the Minnesota Twins, Joe Mauer could be prevented from playing for the Yankees next season. Mauer was set to become a free agent, but by re-signing with his current team, the Yankees fear it means he may be off the market.

Georgia authorities have yet to speak with Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger regarding allegations that he sexually assaulted a college student. His lawyer maintains Roethlisberger's innocence, and thus far, attempts to speak with the elusive quarterback have been unsuccessful. Authorities are now considering bringing in a sideline reporter to hopefully catch Big Ben off-guard with some type of quickie interview.

 
Rejected NCAA Teams Make Last Second Push For Tournament Expansion

Spearheaded by a number of head coaches from teams that failed to qualify for the NCAA tournament, a group is making a last second push to have the tournament expanded. The group hopes to expand the tournament to 96 teams by tomorrow, or maybe Thursday, but several coaches admit they'd be happy with any expansion as long as their school gets in.

After earning one of the last at-large bids for the 2010 NCAA Tournament, the Minnesota Golden Gophers, an 11 seed, are set to play 6th seeded Xavier in the first round. Coach Tubby Smith says his players are excited to continue playing, and couldn't think of a better place for them to spend Spring Break than Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

Upon hearing that LaDainian Tomlinson had met with the Vikings and would possibly be teaming up with Adrian Peterson, a couple of guys that managed a fantasy football team two years ago think the potential backfield combination would be completely unstoppable.
