Nationals fans have been anxiously awaiting the arrival of Stephen Strasburg, and he did not disappoint during an impressive spring training debut. According to one fan, Strasburg was throwing some serious heat and was routinely hitting 108 miles-per-hour on the radar gun.

Baseball's winter meetings are underway, and of course the Yankees are again making the headlines, this time with their role in a three team trade that brought them Curtis Granderson from the Tigers. Several teams have been relatively quiet so far, including the Royals, whose general manager, Dayton Moore, swears he's in attendance at the meetings.

With the conclusion of the World Series, players with expired contracts were eligible to file for free agency. The list of free agents consists of some big names, including Jason Bay, Matt Holliday and John Lackey, as well as several others.
