In a stunning waiver deadline trade, the Los Angeles Dodgers acquired slugger Jim Thome from the Chicago White Sox. Many wonder where the Dodgers can even use him. A team source tells us that he will be the team's designated hitter and will bat 10th.

"Yes, we play in the National League," said the source. "But since no one watches baseball on the west coast we figure we can get away with using an extra hitter. We'll go ahead and bat Thome 10th. We didn't acquire him to be a $14 million pinch hitter. C'mon."
