Johnny Damon and his agent Scott Boras have been holding out for an ideal contract this offseason. Their hard stance finally paid off, as Damon has inked a two year deal with the cell phone provider he sought all along.

"I knew being patient would pay off for me," said Damon. "People said I couldn't get a two year deal with a new phone that included unlimited text and unlimited data. Where are the doubters now, huh? Where are they?"

Even with the remarkable agreement, Damon's agent Scott Boras said he had to make significant concessions in order to secure the contract for his client.

"People always say I refuse to give in during negotiations, but that's just not true," said Boras. "Initially I wanted a personal satellite and three cell phone towers just for Johnny and his brand new phone, but I caved in order to get this deal done. Even though it was a completely reasonable request."

With the cell phone contract finally signed, Damon and Boras are now in talks with several local banks in an effort to obtain a free checking account.
