David Stern on Donaghy Allegations: "Did You See Those Blown Calls in the World Series?"

Tim Donaghy's unpublished book alleges many things regarding NBA officials. According to Yahoo Sports, Donaghy admits stars get preferential treatment, some refs have it in for some players and coaches, and a losing home team is likely to get a favorable whistle to make it competitive. NBA commissioner, David Stern, feels that all of the blown calls by umpires is a more pressing issue.

"Did you see that guy they called out?" asked Stern. "That was ridiculous. Major League Baseball clearly has more of a problem with its umpires than we have with our referees. Besides, the notion that the NBA tries to fix games or give preferential treatment to its star players is preposterous. Now if you'd be so kind as to leave my office, we are about to discuss who should qualify for this year's playoffs."
