Off to a dismal 3-12 start to the season, the New York Knicks do not have much to be thankful for. However, the team has found a silver lining this Thanksgiving, and are giving thanks they aren't the Nets.
"Yeah, we're bad, but we're not New Jersey Nets bad," said power forward David Lee. "It's been a struggle so far, but those guys are awful. I mean, we have a three game lead on them in the standings. Just pathetic."
Knicks guard Nate Robinson feels blessed to not be playing for the Nets.
"Everyday I feel sorry for anyone associated with the Nets. Those guys are bad. Really bad. They couldn't even beat us earlier this season. One of the worst teams in the NBA and they couldn't beat us. Simply awful."
With a divisional opponent actually playing worse than they are, the Knicks may be able to consider this season a success.
Said Knicks head coach Mike D'Antoni, "With our roster, we should be in last place. Thanks to the Nets, we might finish as high as fourth."
