The struggling New Yorks Knicks are contemplating signing the recently released Allen Iverson. They are hoping Iverson could fill the disgruntled, undersized shooting guard role, a role in which they are clearly deficient.
"We are desperately lacking a six foot shooting guard who will hoist it up from anywhere while shooting 6-for-22," said Knicks head coach Mike D'Antoni. "We feel that Allen brings a lot of experience to that type of role, and he may be able to fit in nicely here."
Although intrigued by a potential signing of Iverson, the Knicks have yet to commit to a 'yes' or 'no' answer. The team is still analyzing how a six-foot disgruntled shooting guard fits into the plans to sign LeBron James in 2010.
