Kobe Bryant Tarnishes Legacy By Winning Title With Ron Artest

Many wondered if Kobe Bryant would need to win the 2010 NBA title to validate his career, and secure his legacy among the all-time greats. However, needing help from Ron Artest to win a championship has disgraced Bryant's career forever.

"Only a select few players in league history have won the five titles Bryant has won," said ESPN analyst Tim Legler. "But until last night, no one had won a title with Ron Artest as their teammate. You know why? No one wants to be associated with that forever."

Looking back, Bryant wishes he could change several things about his career, including how the Lakers won their latest championship.

"All the stuff with Shaq, the public embarrassments, fights with teammates, fights with Phil, I've been able to accept those things and move on," said Bryant. "But to forgive myself for relying on Ron Artest to win a title, that's...it...it's something I'll probably never be able to do."

Some are questioning Bryant's character, putting winning and even Artest's mental health above everything.

"Sure you want to win if you're Kobe, but Ron Artest? C'mon man!" said TNT's Charles Barkley. "The dude is certifiably crazy. After the game he thanked his psychiatrist. Actually, I want to thank his psychiatrist too. She must be a saint."
