It was a hard fought, intense game, but the Los Angeles Lakers have won back-to-back titles by narrowingly defeating the scrappy cast from the movie The Grown Ups.

"We knew it would be a tough, physical match-up. They gave us all we could handle," said Lakers guard Kobe Bryant. "Some of those guys are kinda old, and were somewhat undersized, but they made up for it with their experience. Kevin James doesn't look real athletic either, so basically he's comedy's Big Baby Davis."

Lakers coach Phil Jackson was impressed with the cast's basketball I.Q.

"The way those guys were able to talk about basketball in those little shorts during commercial breaks was quite impressive," said Jackson.  "They convinced me they weren't being fed information from a publicist or some random guy that can vaguely discuss the NBA or basketball in general."

The Grown Ups were led by Adam Sandler's 18 points, Chris Rock's 11 boards, and David Spade's 11 quips and 29 sarcastic wisecracks throughout the game.

"Sarcasm is definitely Spade's thing," said Sandler, "but boxing (Pau) Gasol out may have been more effective than mocking his beard. Even though that thing is awful. You'd think he could find a better stylist in L.A., but I guess not."

Despite coming up short, NBA Commissioner David Stern said he would gladly award the title to the cast of The Grown Ups if they would just stop promoting their movie for three minutes.
