After suffering another conference loss, this time at the hands of rival Duke, North Carolina head coach Roy Williams is desperate for help to hopefully rescue this season. He is asking that anyone willing to help make a $10 donation simply by texting "DUKESUX" to his personal cellphone.
"If people can spare just $10 dollars, it could help us greatly," said Williams. "Apparently our multi-million dollar budget is no longer cutting it."
The basketball program has no definitive plan for how the money will be used, or if it will even improve on court performance.
"To be honest, I don't know what we're going to do with the money or if it will even help," said Williams. "But I do know that what is going on here is a complete tragedy, possibly the worst I've seen. Definitely the worst I've lived. It's terrible. If the donations are unable to help us win, at least we could buy some new uniforms or weight equipment or something. That stuff we have now is at least six months old. It's completely depressing."
