Cleveland quarterback Derek Anderson has struggled mightily since replacing Brady Quinn. This past weekend, Anderson managed to complete a pass, six in fact, and completely confused Cleveland fans that happened to look at the box score of the Browns latest loss, a 30-6 defeat at the hands of the Bears.
"I saw that he had several completions," said one Browns fan. "At first, I thought it was a misprint, because I watched the game and don't remember a single positive thing happening for the Browns. But sure enough, he completed a whole six passes. Truly remarkable."
Anderson says that despite having no confidence from the Cleveland fan base, he hopes to complete a few more passes before the season is over.
"If they support me or not, I am still the starting quarterback and I am going to try to complete a pass here and there," said Anderson. "It doesn't matter why I am still the starter. I am in a very fortunate situation, as our coaching staff clearing hates Brady Quinn and refuses to put him back in. If I were Brady, I'd want to punch myself in the face everyday if I was the back-up to a guy with a 10.5 quarterback rating."
