Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones has announced that he will be retaining the hot seat for head coach Wade Phillips next season. Jones says he has every intention of motivating Phillips with continued use of the hot seat, intimidation, as well as any other method he deems fit.
"He seemed to thrive with all of the pressure I put on him, so why change? Continuity is important here," said Jones. "Despite our disappointing playoff exit and the constant possibility of not having a job, Wade was able to do some pretty good things."
To assist his head coach and help get his team to the next level, Jones pledges to up the ante, and be even more involved with every football decision, whether big or small.
"I'm going to be in his ear about every playcall, every substitution, you name it," said Jones. "I'll do all I can to assist Wade, and give him every chance to succeed as head coach of the Dallas Cowboys. That is as long as he does things my way."
