The NFL inexplicably chose to discriminate against the New York Giants to end the season, forcing them to play out their entire schedule. By forcing the team to play out the standard sixteen games, several players had to unfortunately put their vacation plans on hold or cancel them altogether, and they aren't too happy about it.
"This is bogus," said defensive end Justin Tuck. "I had a Subway commercial shoot scheduled that I had to bail on, and I couldn't exchange these non-refundable tickets to Cabo. Totally unfair."
Fullback Madison Hedgecock also had to alter his holiday plans.
"My family and I were going to go to this fantastic ski resort in Montana for New Year's, but apparently due to something called a full schedule, we couldn't. I can't believe the league chose to single us out like that. I'm sure it's some violation of the collective bargaining agreement. It has to be."
As a result of being forced to play against their will the final two weeks of the season, 41-9 and 44-7 blowouts, the Giants rebelled in their own way. For the most part, the team slept through all film sessions, purposely dropped passes, botched blocking assignments, blew coverages and missed nearly half of all tackling attempts.
"That ought to stick it to the NFL," said cornerback Corey Webster. "We may have completely embarrassed ourselves, but maybe it will teach the league to only put teams out there that actually want to play football."
