Pittsburgh Steelers must be raring to go and make a mark in the championship, but their hopes got a setback because of the injury factor of some of the key players. Maurkice Pouncey, the All-Pro center missed the crucial encounter with AFC Wild Card Game that was held on Sunday. It was always doubtful weather Pouncey would be able to play the game or not. His presence was questionable because of his left ankle injury that kept him out of action for the whole week. On Friday, it was officially revealed that he would not be available for the game against the Denver Broncos.
Just like the scenario of the last year, the replacement of Pouncey will be made by Doug Legursky. Last year, during the event of Super Bowl, Legursky was opted as the replacement. Pittsburgh Steelers will hope that this replacement works for the team and create more prospect and room for flexibility in the future.
However, the injury woes seem not to let the Steelers in a comfortable situation. There are already a lot of factors that is causing worry in the camp. Apart from Pouncey, there are several other key players of the team who are not fit for the game, which makes the situation even worse for the team. Whether it is the offensive tackle Jamon Meredith, linebacker Mortty Ivy, Cornerback Cortez Allen, running back Mewelde Moore, or the quarterback Dennis Dixon, the Steelers are missing these players and it may prove to be problematic for the team.
The poor fitness condition of the team does not end here. They are also missing Ryan Clark who handles the ‘safety’ position because he has been kept out as a precaution due to blood disorder that is aggravated by altitude. The situation is not so different with another ‘running back’ Rashard Mendenhall who is not able to take part in the season because of knee injury.
It can be said that the Sunday’s AFC Wild Card Game was an encounter between the two injury-affected team. If the above mentioned factors provide enough reason that why the Steelers are not being able to come put on full force, the situation of Denver Broncos was not that different either.
The fullback of Broncos, Spencer Larsen was out because of knee injury. He was doubtful for the last few days and finally ruled out. Other Broncos players who missed the action were Brian Dawkins, Mike Mohamed, Derrick Harvey and Ryan Harris.

East course created havoc on Philippine Ladies just during the practice day. Nobody had a clear idea that it may happen in the opening day of the ladies open practice session of the match that has been started at last week at country club in Mandaluyoung city and being organized in Wack Wack Golf.

The open player of Philippine ladies, Lovelyn Guioguio, who is also the winner of the Philippine Amateur tested par 72 at East lay out. Along with two other contenders Kawinpakorn of Thailand and Dottie Ardina who experienced the same toughness that featured tricky greens and tree- lined narrowness while preparing for the coming battle.

Lovelyn in fact tried to score three points over par-75, which was quite a difficult match than what she won in the PHL Amateur open. That was quite a round performance and not so tough what she has experienced even in the practice match of Wack Wack The game seemed hard to the winning to this player because it had so many breaks and undulation ,which is a patented characteristics of the game. However, the Wack Wack critic said that in spite of losing the game Lovelyn will learn a lot form the game and she will be on a high form to secure winning when her team will appear for the practical matches on filed.

The Bulidnon lady, who is now 24 year old explained during an interview that though people are saying that she is quite favorite but what she believes that she is actually underdog. According to her opinion east proved harder than the Northern track of Canlubang. Though golf fans are expecting a lot from this new player , however, the player herself is not that confident whether she will be able to get her second title from this tournament or not. Another winner of 2007 ladies open, Kawinpakorn also downplayed her chances of winning as she also faced trouble while practicing with East’s Greens.
Kawinpakorn was one of the veteran campaigners from the Thailand Side. She said during an interview that she tried her best to regain the opening plum but in order to go achieve she had to go for the work and many practice sessions to understand the tricks of the game.
On the other hand, Ardina tried hard to recover her poor performance and to give the best during the on filed matches. Her earlier performances were quite noteworthy that landed her on 7th over all spot.

These days Larkin is on a high spirit, as he is expecting a call from the Hall of Fame. He is one of the leading candidates expected to make it to the Hall of Fame, as the results are soon to be announced. Larkin commented saying that, “This can be shot of immortality in the history of this game.” For him this is a big honor, as this means that, he will have his name written in the history of the game. To be elected to the Hall of Fame a player has to gain at least 75%.
This target seems to be possible for this twelve time All-Star and the NL MVP in 1995, and earlier in 2010 Larkin got almost 51.6 percent votes, which was good for the first time. Even in the last year, his votes went up to 62.1 percent and he fell short only by 75 votes. In his place, Roberto Alomar and Bert Blylevel were chosen. This year, his chances seem to be more than last year, as there is a lack of best newcomers this time. In his nineteen-year career, Barry Larkin has 3 Gold Gloves in his pocket and 198 home runs. He spent most of his League career playing with Cincinnati Reds.
He also has 960 RBIs, 379 stolen bases and 2,340 hits to his credit. With a good career record like this he tried to get back into the game in 2005, but he retired when the team did not agree to take him back. Even though he was confused about the retirement at that time, but now he is sure that he made the right move. Now, when he is retired, he aspires of making it to the most coveted list of baseball. He will be in another special list as well.
Out of the 206 top leaguers chosen for the Hall of Fame, only 47 players had spent their careers with one league team and there are just two players in the list, who have actually played with the Reds. If Larkin get selected then he will be the third player of Reds after Bid McPhee and Johnny Bench to make it to the Hall. After his retirement, Larkin also broadcasted for MLB network in 2009 and 2010, but then he later moved on to ESPN. His association with Reds has not ended yet, as he is the spring training instructor in the team.

From now on, he will be known in Italy as “The American Marine” “General Bradley and also the midfield sergeant. However, the name doesn’t count what counts is the performance of Michele Bradley who had successfully adapted the highly technical game style of his new country Italy and of the native country America as well. In the month of August, he has joined the Chievo Verona with the motto to play as an American in Serie A. The midfielder is just in his 24 now but is now playing as a regular starter and has already learned speaking Italy quite fluently.

What the midfielder belief is when a player is earning their live hood from the game and this is their profession it is imperative to give the best and to put everything that one have into it. During the last weekend, Bradley had an interview with the Associate press where he explained he had no doubt about the fact that as he was new in the country and has signed a new club it was important for him to introduce himself with the world in short period of time.

He has football in his blood, as he is the son of the former coach of U.S national team Bob Bradley. However, when the player landed in Italy he showed a distinctive look and what he did before coming to Italy is that he shaved his head thoroughly, but he didn’t give up the New Jersey roots and hold the nickname, Omar Bradley, who was known universally as famous general of World War II. Bradley is the forth-native American who joined the Serie A club in this year and his successors are Alexi Lalas, Oguchi Onyewu and Giuseppe Rossi. All of them have played good football in their career and now it is to see how far this new, young American can move.

Lalas started his career as during 1994-world cup football, played for the US team, and then continued for 1996. Rossi on the other hand was born to Italian parents but as he was born in America, he has been marked as American. During 2007, this American player played with Parma and he played on loan. The history of the other player Onyewu is quite different from these two. He had an injury –plagued stretch with the club AC Milan during 2009-10, and he has made only one spirited appearance.

This new player, Bradley has been marked on the bench just during the first match he played with Chievo, and form then on is playing as the starter in every matches.

Americans are notorious for loving live entertainment, as evidenced by the thousand of live events happening across the country each year. From arena concerts to sporting events to theater, there is no shortage of events for people looking to enjoy live entertainment. For most, finding events worth attending is not the problem, rather the real problem is getting your hands on the actual ticket you need to get into the venue. For the most in-demand shows tickets have been known to sell-out in minutes.

The truth is that for the hottest events, whether it be a concert, sporting event or theater performance, the sheer demand doesn’t match the supply. Many fans complain that automated scalper “bots” cause all the “real” fans to miss out on tickets, and there is certainly an argument to be made there. However Ticketmaster is getting better and better at detecting these bots. The bottom line is that main reason not enough fans get in is because of supply and demand. Because a venue can only hold so many attendees, the demand for tickets far outweighs the supply. But the good news is that as tough as it can be to get tickets to the most popular events, with a little determination and some cash, you can get into pretty much any event you like. Even the Super Bowl, the Master Tournament, Taylor Swift and all the other big concerts aren’t out of the reach of normal fans.

Buying from the venue

Your first stop when trying to buy tickets is to see if you can get them directly from the venue. Call them ahead of time and see how many tickets they put away for purchase at the venue. One good aspect of buying tickets from the venue is that you can eliminate some of the fees associated with purchasing tickets from Ticketmaster. Yes, standing in line can be an inconvenience, but there are a a set number of tickets available for purchase from the box office, plus it lets you cut out some of the fees added on by Ticket Master.

Ticketmaster

But buying straight from the venue is not always possible for everyone. In that case, for the vast-majority of in-demand tickets you’re going to have to take your chances with Ticketmaster‘s onsale lottery. Even with some of the most powerful computers on the planet, there is a limit to how many customers Ticketmaster can handle at any given moment. Especially for the largest onsales, the sheer volume of people trying to buy tickets is astronomical. As a way to throttle their traffic, during onsales Ticketmaster will place visitors into a queue. Normally it counts down from 15 seconds, and at the end of the countdown there is the opportunity for you to move onto the next step and actually view and purchase tickets. If you don’t move to the next level the coundown from 15 seconds will restart. However if you are reading this article you probably know that you can wait around for a long time and never make it to this stage. Nothing is more frustrating than missing out on tickets for your favorite artist, but the good news is that if you miss out on getting tickets from Ticketmaster you are not out of options yet.

The Secondary Ticket Market

When Ticketmaster sells out of tickets, you’re only real choice is to turn to what is known as the “secondary ticket market.” The secondary ticket market is what the marketplace where tickets are resold is known as. These tickets can come from professional ticket brokers (also known as scalpers) as well as from causal fans who attend the concert or event by selling some if their tickets. Sport fans are known for buying season tickets, but even the most diehard sport fan can have trouble attention all the home games. After all there are 81 home games for every baseball team! So fans will buy their season tickets and resell some of them to recoup some of the cost. Concert goers can also buy more tickets than they plan to use, and then resell the extras to make up some of the cost. It used to be that most tickets were resold at more than face value, but in recent years more and more tickets are being sold at prices below their face value.

The most well-known ticket reseller is StubHub, which was acquired by EBay in January of 2007. While StubHub might be the best known ticket reseller, it is not the only one. In fact there are several healthy competitors to StubHub, and the secondary ticket market is one of the most competitive markets out there. According to the Ticket News Top Seller Rankings, TicketLiquidator is the second largest seller of tickets on the secondary ticket market. TicketLiquidator spends a lot less on advertising, and can use those savings to charge less for tickets. TicketLiquidator says they have anywhere from 60,000 – 80,000 events tickets at any time. Another of the larger ticket resellers is actually a subsidiary of Ticketmaster. Ticketmaster purchased TicketsNow for $265 million in 2008. Almost immediately the site and its relationship with Ticketmaster caused headaches for the parent company. Fans of Bruce Springsteen might recall the uproar the followed Ticketmaster redirecting Bruce Springsteen fans to TicketsNow, where customers went on to purchase tickets at prices up to five times higher than the face value of the ticket. Despite their differences, all the sites are reputable businesses and do have a money back guarantee. Additionally, there are several aggregator sites out there that can compare ticket prices. At the end of the day its up to you as a consumer to find the best value for the amount of money you are willing to spend. You can also do some research on review sites for ticket resellers, or if the site has a customer feedback section you can get an idea of how satisfied customers are there. You might also want to ask friends or use social media to see what other people are using to buy tickets online.

Buy tickets outside of the venue

The last choice to buy tickets to a sold-out event is to but the tickets form a scalper outside the venue. This is the riskiest way to buy tickets, partly because of the abundance of counterfeit tickets. Once you get to the gate and the usher tells you the tickets are no good, the scalper will be long gone. The other risky aspect to buying tickets outside the venue is that you never know what will be available. There is also a good chance that ticket brokers outside the venue will be charging much more than you would have paid at an online secondary ticket site. However as a last resort you can find some good deals from buying outside the venue.

Say what you want about Dale Earnhardt, Jr. but he is one of the best restrictor plate racers in all of NASCAR and one of the NASCAR betting favorites to win the 2012 Daytona 500.

Dale Jr. is coming off an impressive rebound season in which he finished 7th in the final standings. It was an impressive comeback after he fell back in the standings in 2009 and 2010. Earnhardt and his Rick Hendrick team believe that they are poised for a run to Sprint Cup Glory in 2012.

It all begins at the Daytona 500, however, and Dale Jr. has emulated his late great father Dale in being one of the most impressive and dominant restrictor plate drivers on the NASCAR circuit. Dale Jr. won the 2001 mid-summer race at Daytona which was one of the most memorable events in NASCAR history as it was just 5 months after his father was killed on that track in a last lap crash into the wall. Dale Jr. was also the winner of the 2004 Daytona 500 and finished 2nd in the “Great American Race” in 2010. Dale Jr. has a total of 7 career wins at superspeedways and has 28 top ten finishes at such tracks.

Earnhardt’s career was considered to be in question in 2010 when he fell off the map to finish 21st in total points as he was coming off a 2009 season in which he was 25th in the final standings. Last year was Earnhardt’s 4th with Hendrick Racing, where his father reached superstar Hall of Fame status. But Rick Hendrick does not field race teams that are meant to finish in the middle of the standings as he has dominant champion drivers such as Jimmie Johnson and Jeff Gordon in his powerhouse stable of drivers and so last year he paired Dale Jr. with crew chief Steve Letarte and the results were impressive.

It has been a tough career for Dale Jr. as he has faced the stigma of being the son of the famous number 3 who broke into the NASCAR circuit as a member of family owned Earnhardt Racing. He eventually had to leave the organization due to a falling out with his step mother and has yet to win a Sprint Cup Championship. But Dale Jr. has impressed even his critics with his class and willingness to rise from the back of the pack and he is a definite threat to win this year’s Daytona 500.
